PDF Print Quality Guide: Clear Text, Correct Size

Improve print output with DPI, page size, margins, color mode and file checks.

Practical guide

Built for useful search intent

Original content, clear headings, internal links and privacy-first recommendations.

Scope: This article discusses lawful printing and service-centre workflow. Use official authority websites for issuance, download, correction or verification of government credentials.

Start with the original PDF

Avoid screenshots when a real PDF is available. PDFs preserve text and layout better than re-saved images.

Check page size and scaling

Use actual size when the document requires fixed dimensions; otherwise use fit-to-page carefully. Preview before printing.

Understand DPI

Image-heavy PDFs need enough source resolution. Printer DPI cannot recreate detail that is absent from the original scan.

Use margins intentionally

Some printers cannot print edge-to-edge. Keep important text and codes within the printable area.

Protect sensitive PDFs

Use private uploads and delete files after the job. Print quality should not come at the cost of privacy.
